AirForce rifles have a design all their own, with a frame that wraps around the air bottle and barrels that are often unthreaded at the muzzle. That makes them some of the most rewarding rifles to quiet down, and also some of the most common fitment questions we get. In this Field Notes post I want to go through each AirForce adapter we make, from the small bore Escape and Talon SS to the Texan big bores.

Escape and Condor
The AirForce Escape and Condor .22/.25 1/2 x 20 Adapter is made of steel with 1/2 x 20 UNF threads for .22 and .25 caliber, and it is compatible with other 16mm barrels as well. It is a tight fit with two M4 set screws that use a 2mm hex key, and it comes with a black anodized aluminum thread protector. Please note that it will not fit the Escape Ultra Light, so contact us about a custom adapter for that model.
A full power Condor benefits from a larger moderator, and the Sumo or Shogun are natural choices with 1/2 x 20 threads. Our Shogun Field Notes covers that moderator for high power small bores.

Condor SS, Talon SS and TalonP
Condor SS and Talon SS
The AirForce Condor SS and Talon SS 1/2 x 20 Adapter lets you add a moderator to make these shrouded rifles very quiet. It is compatible with .177 through .25, is CNC machined 6061 T6 aluminum in black anodize, and comes with an O-ring.
TalonP
The AirForce TalonP 1/2 x 20 Adapter does the same for the Talon SS and TalonP, compatible from .177 to .25 and including an O-ring. Because these are shrouded rifles, choose a moderator one caliber size up to reduce the chance of a clip.
The A55 adds 1/2 x 20 threads to the Condor SS and Talon SS shroud.
Texan Big Bores
The Texan Adapter
The AirForce Texan Adapter is steel with M18x1 threads, compatible with the big bore Ronin, Emperor and Great Kami with M18x1 endcaps. It is meant to be a tight fit with two M4 set screws, and in some cases proper installation may require sanding inside the adapter. I recommend a thin film of blue Loctite on the barrel before sliding it on, and letting it set overnight before shooting.
Sizing by caliber
Please measure your barrel outer diameter with a caliper before ordering, since coatings cause slight barrel to barrel variation. The inner diameters are 16mm or .625 inch, A34, and 17mm or .67 inch, A95, for .308/.357, .707 to .71 inch for .457, and 19.1mm for .50, with an older 18.83mm .50 specification available as a custom order. We do not currently have an adapter for the .257 barrel. If your barrel is larger than spec, contact us about a custom adapter.
Texan LSS
The AirForce Texan LSS Adapter screws directly to the end of the factory Texan LSS shroud and has M18x1 male threads to pair with our big bore moderators. Add an Emperor or Ronin to tame it.
The A65 screws onto the factory Texan LSS shroud with M18x1 male threads.

Identify your model, including Ultra Light, SS or LSS versions.
