Hatsan builds a very wide range of airguns, from QE spring and PCP rifles to rapid firing semi-autos and the Pile Driver big bore, and that range is exactly why Hatsan owners have so many fitment questions. Some of these rifles take a moderator without any complications, and some need a little more care. In this Field Notes post I want to go through each Hatsan adapter we make and be clear about where the semi-auto models need extra attention.

Hatsan QE Models
The Hatsan QE 1/2 x 20 Adapter is CNC machined in matte black anodize, includes a knurled thread protector and is compatible up to .30 caliber. It fits the Hatsan Gladius, Flash Wood QE, AirMax, Bullboss QE, BT65 QE, Nova QE, AT44-10 QE, Hercules QE, Flashpup QE, AT P1 and Flash QE.
If you have a Hatsan Bully in .25 or .30, customer feedback tells us the Emperor is the moderator to choose. We covered fitting the Emperor in our Emperor v3 big bore adapter Field Notes.
Hatsan Riptor and Jet
Riptor
The Hatsan Riptor 1/2 x 20 Adapter is 6061 T6 aluminum in grey anodize with diamond pattern knurling, and it is compatible with .22 and .25 caliber.
Jet 1 and Jet 2
The Hatsan Jet 1 and Jet 2 Adapter is a double sided male adapter with through holes in the threads for easy tightening and loosening, matte black anodized threads, and an outer diameter of .655 inches, or 16.6mm. We recommend using it with a moderator that is one caliber higher than your gun to reduce the chance of a clip.
The A111 is a double sided male adapter for the Hatsan Jet 1 and Jet 2.
Hatsan Semi-Autos: Bullmaster, Galatian, Blitz and Sortie
Hatsan semi-autos use blowback air to advance the magazine, and with a moderator installed that extra back pressure can cause the magazine to over rotate and not index properly. I want to be upfront about this, because it is the single most important thing to know before you add a moderator to one of these rifles.
Bullmaster and Galatian
The Hatsan Bullmaster/Galatian 1/2 x 20 Adapter has a new and improved design that allows more air flow, and it is compatible up to .30 caliber. If you plan to single load, it works fine. Some customers have been able to get the rifle to cycle properly by swapping the spring inside the shroud for a different strength one, which can take some trial and error.
Blitz
The Hatsan Blitz M18x1 Adapter is also improved for more air flow, compatible up to .30 caliber, and it has worked flawlessly on our own setup. The only moderator we recommend with the Blitz is the .25/.30 Ronin M18. Results may vary in semi-auto mode, and others have fixed indexing by fitting a lighter spring from the hardware store. It does not fit the 777 version of the Blitz, which has a different shroud, and we do not have an adapter for the Blitz 777.
Sortie
The Hatsan Sortie 1/2 x 20 Adapter is CNC machined 6061 T6 in black anodize. Moderators disrupt magazine indexing on the Sortie, so use this adapter only if you plan to single load.
The A117 pairs with the .25/.30 Ronin M18 on the Hatsan Blitz.
Hatsan Pile Driver
The Hatsan Pile Driver Adapter is made of steel with M18x1 threads that are compatible with the Emperor with an M18x1 endcap, and it works with .45 and .50 caliber. It is a tight fit with four M4 set screws that use a 2mm hex key, and it comes with a black anodized aluminum thread protector.
We have seen some variance in the outer diameter of these barrels, so please do not order this adapter online. Instead, email us with your barrel exact OD so it can be made to fit, and if the standard adapter will not fit, we can make a custom one.
