Benjamin and Crosman rifles introduced a huge number of shooters to PCPs, and many of those rifles have been tuned, modified and passed along for years. A Marauder or a Discovery is a great platform to learn on, and more power from a tune means a louder gun, which is why making these rifles backyard friendly is such a common request. In this Field Notes post I want to cover each Benjamin and Crosman adapter we make and the moderator we recommend with it.
The DonnyFL Benjamin Marauder, Fortitude and Armada 1/2 x 20 Adapter A7.

Marauder, Fortitude and Armada
Marauders are great entry level PCP rifles, and there are a lot of modifications you can make to increase their power. The Benjamin Marauder, Fortitude and Armada 1/2 x 20 Adapter lets you screw on an aftermarket moderator. The threaded end that goes into the OEM shroud is 13/16 x 28, and it is CNC machined 6061 T6 aluminum in black anodize with diamond pattern knurling.
Please note that the A7 is for Gen 1 and Gen 2 rifles only. If you have a newer generation rifle, reach out to us before ordering so we can confirm fitment.
Discovery and Maximus
The Benjamin Discovery/Maximus Adapter has a 1/2 x 20 thread at the end and two holes on top like the OEM part, so you can use the original screws and front sight. It measures 3.12 inches overall and has a groove underneath just like the OEM part for ease of removing the fill cap. Match it up with a .22 Tatsu and you have a nice quiet rifle.
The A20 keeps the OEM front sight screw holes and the fill cap groove.
Akela, Kratos and Kral Puncher NP
The Benjamin Akela, Kratos and Kral Puncher NP 1/2 x 20 Adapter is compatible with .177, .22 and .25 caliber. For the Akela, remove one of the factory baffles so the adapter fits flush. Kral owners should note that it only fits the Kral NP series.
Marauder Pistol and Huntsman Regal
The A17 adapter screws into the OEM shroud of the Benjamin Marauder Pistol, also known as the P-Rod or Woods Walker, and the Daystate Huntsman Regal. The shroud threads are 11/16 x 24 and the moderator threads are 1/2 x 20. The Sumo with 1/2 x 20 threads is our top recommendation, sized a half step up because these are shrouded barrels, so a .22/.25 for a .22 caliber airgun. You will need to remove the Sumo to fill a P-Rod.
If you would rather not remove the moderator to fill, the Marauder Pistol Extended Adapter extends the shroud 1.5 inches, or about 38.1mm. Pair it with a .22/.25 Tanto 1/2 x 20 Bolt, S69, and the pistol will be very quiet without removing the moderator to fill. We covered the Woods Walker in more depth in our Tatsu Field Notes.

Crosman 2240
The Crosman 2240 Adapter is a slide on adapter with an inside diameter of 7/16 inch and 1/2 x 20 UNF threads for your favorite moderator, and it includes a knurled thread protector. Because it slides on, take care to seat it fully and evenly so the bore stays centered through the moderator.
Benjamin .357 Bulldog
The Benjamin .357 Bulldog M18x1 Adapter goes back to the barrel and slides over the barrel bushing, which keeps the barrel aligned with the adapter exit hole. The bushing is not included, since the factory rifle already has it. The .357 Bulldog has become popular for big game hunting, and I recommend a minimum of the .357 Ronin on this rifle.
If you choose an Emperor for the Bulldog, do not add the extender, because the extra weight applied to the adapter may hurt precision.
Benjamin and Crosman Checklist
Confirm your model and generation, especially on the Marauder.
Choose a moderator a half size up on shrouded barrels.
Decide whether you want to fill without removing the moderator.
Use at least a .357 Ronin on the Bulldog, without an extender on an Emperor.
Re-zero after installation.

Benjamin and Crosman rifles respond very well to a properly fitted moderator. Choose the adapter for your exact model, size the moderator correctly, and these classic platforms become far more pleasant to shoot in the backyard and in the field.
