Because this adapter was made to fit both the Standard and Max versions of the AirCuda, and because of the variations between individual rifles, you may find that one or two threads remain exposed when you snug the adapter in place. This is normal, and will not effect the performance of the rifle. In fact, our testing has revealed that a longer or heavier moderator can be used with less risk of clipping as compared to the endcap-only style adapter. It was necessary to design in this flexibility to overcome the challenges of this airgun's shroud design so that moderators can be used.
